Office 365 updates message encryption!

Microsoft recently accounted an upcoming release of Office 365 Message Encryption, allowing Office 365 users to send sensitive business emails to people outside of their corporate domain! Now when sending emails with sensitive data, you can add another layer of protection to restrict access so that there’s no unauthorized access of your information.

Several examples include:

  • Credit card statements

  • Insurance policy details

  • Sensitive financial information

  • Confidential materials, from an attorney or health care provider

  • Contractual documents

Office 365 Message Encryption is the updated version of Exchange Hosted Encryption (EHE), and improves upon EHE’s capabilities, including the ability to apply your corporate branding to all your messages! Even better, Office 365 E3 and E4 users get Office 365 Message Encryption at no extra cost – it’s included in Windows Azure Rights Management, part of the E3 and E4 plans.

To see how to set up encryption, visit the Office 365 Technology blog. As always, if you have any questions about Office 365, don’t hesitate to send us a note.
