Office 365 crosses oceans and airwaves, bringing the Microsoft cloud to new regions and clients. Telekom Malaysia, the largest integrated solutions provider in Malaysia, recently announced their partnership with Microsoft to deliver Office 365 to SMEs (Small- to Medium-sized Enterprises) throughout the country. With SMEs playing a crucial role in Malaysia’s economy, Office 365 offers the flexibility and agility necessary to keep up with marketplace demands, while complying with security and privacy standards. In addition to ensuring a set of security best practices, Office 365 meets the requirements of independent audits and regulatory requirements of tough standards like ISO 27001, SSAE-16, the EU Model Clauses, HIPAA and FISMA – an important standard for any business that has operations and dealings in different countries. Certainly JetBlue, Patagonia and the American Heart Association have taken note – all three have recently moved to Office 365.
From enterprises to small businesses, more and more organizations are moving to the cloud. The variance of organization type and size opting to go cloud suggests that whether you are an enterprise or a small business, cloud solutions have a place towards improving collaboration and communication – a necessity in any working environment, both at home and overseas.
