Office 365 Access apps get General Availability


Microsoft recently announced that Access apps in Office 365 are now generally available across Office 365 Small Business, Midsize, Enterprise and Education editions! Although Office 365 general availability was announced a year ago in February 2013, Access apps were in preview didn’t fall under the SLA of Office 365.

Access apps are web database apps designed in Access and hosted in SharePoint. Now, Office 365 users who were testing Access apps can now use it freely, knowing it is covered under the same SLA and compliance level as Office 365. Access app creators can now sell their apps in the SharePoint Store.
