Yammer increases mobility presence with new mobile updates!

Part of Microsoft’s social strategies for enterprise communication with Office 365, Yammer Now is a mobile application that allows users to communicate easily from any place, at any time. Yammer Now allows for quick communication – like sending urgent messages at events, or quick notes for meetings – by allowing colleagues to communicate faster than before with a simple log-in to your work email, without needing to exchange phone numbers or email addresses.

A few features of Yammer Now include:

  • Visibility into online presence of co-workers

  • Easy group messaging and sharing of images

  • Push notifications for real-time alerts

Yammer’s mobile apps also get an update across all platforms, including Windows Phone, Windows 8. iOS and Android! This includes a streamlined look and feel for the iPad app, and updated versions of Yammer for iOS 7. Windows 8 users can now enjoy access to their inboxes, with new notifications and group search functionality available. Even better, the new “Snap” functionality allows Windows 8 users to move the Yammer app to the side of the screen, letting you work in another application for multitasking purposes. Android users also get to enjoy a refreshed look and feel to the Yammer app, with an interface that follows the Android designer to better fidelity.
