Microsoft Updates Microsoft Azure Experience: Microsoft Azure Intelligent Systems Service

Microsoft recently revealed the new cloud service within Microsoft Azure that delivers a completely integrated cloud experience across cross-platform technologies, tools and services. Called the Microsoft Azure Intelligent Systems Service, it allows users to securely connect to devices, and capture and manage that machine-generated data. This service is intended to help address challenges that enterprise organizations might face getting data from line of business assets across a range of OS platforms, by extending Azure across connected devices. Businesses can then use Microsoft tools like HD Insight, Power BI for Office 365 and others to analyze the data from that service and respond accordingly to those insights. Microsoft Azure Intelligent Systems Service is available for a limited preview here. Microsoft also announced plans for another product, the Analytics Platform System (APS), which combines SQL Server and Hadoop, supporting the ability to search across traditional data warehouses, as well as data stored in Hadoop (both appliances or separate Hadoop Clusters).
