Tom Marek will help SADA enterprise customers maximize the value of their Microsoft Cortana Intelligence Suite investments
SADA Systems is thrilled to announce that we have hired Tom Marek, a Microsoft Data Platform MVP, as Practice Director for the Enterprise Solutions Team! Tom brings 20-plus years of experience customizing and implementing Microsoft business products across cloud, analytics, IoT and integration for Fortune 500 customers to SADA. He will be working on projects encompassing custom development, information management and data analytics solutions, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Cortana Intelligence Suite, IoT Suite, SharePoint, Power BI and Office 365. He will grow and mentor talent to drive innovative solutions and programs that will bring rapid customer success.
“There’s so much opportunity right now for our customers in BI and machine learning, especially as these platforms merge together,” Marek says. “Any organization today needs analytics to improve efficiency and profitability. Cloud technology is the easiest way to do that, especially as data sources are no longer just internal systems like CRM and ERP, but sensor data from factories or devices and social feeds that are updating by the millisecond. It’s these micro-level insights that now drive macro-level innovation. IoT enables businesses to become more proactive about their decision-making.”
Marek is delivering a breakout session at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Atlanta, about enterprise opportunities with Cortana for delivering Big Data analytics at scale. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella espoused his vision during Ignite Keynote for Microsoft and artificial intelligence, citing Cortana, Azure, HoloLens and other technologies as the means to find “reason” from internal and external data feeds.
Marek’s career has spanned technology development, strategy and management responsibilities at ChoicePoint (now LexisNexis), and Marshall & Swift where he led R&D for the company’s analytics software division. Most recently, as a Senior Solution Partner at Neudesic, he led projects and teams focused on Big Data, machine learning and analytics projects. For the past three years, he served on the Microsoft Data Platform Partner Advisory Council, a prestigious group of leaders from Microsoft’s top partners.
“During the course of his career, Tom developed best practices and frameworks for delivering enterprise solutions for top brands,” says Tony Safoian, President and CEO of SADA Systems. “He is also the kind of leader who can be hands-on when needed. I am confident that Tom will be instrumental in growing our midsize to enterprise customer base with innovative big data programs to bring transformational value to our clientele.”
